Hillsborough River Alligator on the Shore

Another alligator seen while canoing on the Hillsborough River in Tampa, Florida. This alligator looks hungry, so after taking this picture we paddled a little faster. This is not the type of river where tipping over a canoe is a good idea. Not to worry though, the current is generally very slow (unless there was a big rain storm the day before).
