As the bike and biker navigate, the noisy city dissolves around them.
I’ve attended a few photography workshops recently where I was able to experiment with fashion photography and studio lighting.
In the studio, the scene was all about the color. But during the editing process black and white seemed to speak to me. So it goes.
I like the story of this picture. It leaves unanswered questions. Who is this person? What are the tattoos about? What music is being played? Where?
The day after a snowstorm in Vermont, snow still clings to tree branches while ice covers the river in the distance.
Photographing snow scenes is hard, especially while wearing snowshoes! The result of attempting to crouch low for this photo was almost a face full of snow.
For the picture below, the goal was to capture the texture of the snow and make it as sharp as possible. The camera was set to f/3.5 at 1/4000 sec with ISO 100 in bright early afternoon light.
In this photo, it’s almost possible to see animals tracks in the snow.
Somewhere in Times Square in New York City, the neon lights reflected on the taxi, the shutter speed set to blur it, the way it is perceived in person.
I was experimenting with shutter speed and captured this.
This photo was the result of experimenting with flash settings and shutter speed. I like the incompleteness and the story that seems to emerge. Opinions about people seem to form as a result of footwear and posture.
With everything going on in Times Square – the lights, the people – forgetting the street is easy.
This is the first test of my “new” vintage 1995 Canon FD 135mm 3.5 lens attached to an EOS/FD converter, extension tubes, a Canon T2i and a tripod. Minor post processing done in Camera Raw.
Here’s a picture of 4th generation Nissan Maxima 5-speed manual transmission removed from engine – my weekend project. I put in a new lightweight aluminum flywheel and OEM clutch. What a difference!
A small assortment of photos from around Barcelona , Spain.
Paris’ endless rooftops are easy to get lost in during visual exploration.
This is a view from the Arc de Triomphe of the Paris skyline as seen looking towards Montmartre and the Sacré-Cœur Basilica on the hill.
Wherever you go in Paris, the Eiffel Tower can be seen, or so it seems. This was a view from the top of the Arc de Triomphe looking towards the Eiffel Tower.
